Earlier this week, Apple released the new MacBook Air and Pro, telling users that it comes on a custom M1 chip. The company already made claims that these new products have the capacity for better performance and efficiency due to the new chip, some of the buyers who have the product may wish for a change when Apple releases its next ARM-based chip.
One of the few limitations found herein is the limited memory available for both models. Three editions; MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac Mini come with reduced memory of 16GB of RAM. The previous MacBook Pro came with Intel chips cane with 32GB of RAM. This serious for power-users who can’t cope with the limited memory of this nature. But Apple assures that users will get a refresh soon from its high-end models or new Intel versions.
Years ago, Apple claimed that reduced memory options were used to elongate battery life, but those who wanted more memory than 32GB of RAM would not buy that idea, nor try to manage life with a reduced memory of 16GB of RAM. But the available Intel-based MacBook Pro has a good memory of 64GB or RAM!
The good thing is that Apple has been rumored to be working on different versions since it believes that there’s nothing like one size fits all for its fans. Out of the few rumors flying around, one seems to make sense- The 16-inch model may house a version of Apple’s ARM-based silicon, an M2 chip, or another variant of the M1 which may arrive with wider memory support and more cores. The M1 comes with eight cores, four for performance, and four for efficiency.
Probably, Apple may boost the 13-inch MacBook Pro. However, since the newly released MacBook Pro is kind of lower end, there will be a boost or something of a premium edition in the near future. Since the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro are arriving in a few days, the bold claims made by the company about the efficiency and performance of these products will soon be validated.
