OnePlus snags Guinness World Record

Smartphone Company which has just released a new phone OnePlus 6T held an event in India on November 1st after its phone’s launch. The event had gathered people across India to witness an attempt at breaking the record for the most simultaneous unboxing of a phone ever. The event had participants many of whom were amongst the first owners of the new OnePlus 6T in the country. The event was held at Richardson and Cruddas in Mumbai and it had other owners of the new OnePlus 6T and other community members present.

The attempt for the record of the most simultaneous unboxing of a phone was made on November 1st, 2018 at 8:30 PM IST and as of now OnePlus hold the record for the most people unboxing a phone at a time as they managed to perform the feat with 559 people unboxing the new Oneplus 6T. The feat was even validated by the Guinness World Records.

OnePlus is a smartphone company that is community-oriented and is known to be very big on community service, the event was an attempt to bridge the gap between the company and the fans thereby bringing the people close to the company.

The launch event in India had also seen the company invite hundreds of its fans to the launch event which had taken place on October 31st. On the day, community members were able to experience the event, the device, and hang out with the staff of the OnePlus Company including the company co-founder, Carl Pei who was also present at the event.

The OnePlus 6T has a 6.41 OLED screen and has an on-screen fingerprint sensor. It also comes with 20MP pixel rear camera, 16MP front camera. It comes with 128/256 GB internal storage and is currently going for 549$. It packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 as its processor.
