OnePlus to launch 5G smartphone in second quarter of year

One of the technologies of 2019 will undoubtedly be the 5G. Samsung has already introduced a special version of the Galaxy S10 smartphone compatible with this connectivity. For the future, more companies will join the list, namely OnePlus.

The Chinese company’s intention to embark on this path is not new. So, now we know that the OnePlus 5G smartphone will be released in the second quarter of this year.

OnePlus has always stated its interest in being the first to enter the 5G market. It is certain that the Chinese technology will not be the first to do so, but seems well on track to get ahead of many of its competitors.

OnePlus 5G Smartphone will only take a few more months to be unveiled

This smartphone will likely come equipped with the Snapdragon 855 processor. In addition, it will feature Qualcomm’s X50 modem that will allow you to achieve download speeds of up to 4.5Gbps.

As for the availability of this OnePlus smartphone, it will jump the American market in the first phase. In fact, the first markets to receive it will be the United Kingdom and Finland. Certainly, more will follow in the near future.

When to the North American market, Pete Lau does not close the door to the entrance of this smartphone 5G in the same. The founder of OnePlus affirms the importance that this market has for the company and that the bet on 5G will eventually get there.

MWC 2019 will give us a taste of this new technology

OnePlus has already confirmed its presence in what is the largest mobile technology event in the world. For there, the company should present us with a prototype of its smartphone with possibilities of 5G.

Indeed, in the next few hours, we will know a little more about the main subject of this article. Who knows if OnePlus will not lift the veil over the designation of this device since we have no clues about its nomenclature.

We know, however, that it will be a completely independent device from OnePlus 7. The latter will be the new top-of-the-line technology, which should be revealed by May. Maybe we will not see the two devices being revealed at the same time.
