Design

Oppo A1

We all know exactly how Oppo makes their devices, the A1 doesn’t fall short from the company’s design pattern. A beauty to behold, the smartphone sports a sleek metal unibody that reflects light in the most subtle way.

The device is bezel-less, but not entirely like ww saw on their R15 smartphones. Nonetheless, it dishes out an 18:9 aspect ratio with a frameless screen. The bottom bezel is vacant, which means there’s no fingerprint scanner whatsoever on the device, very disheartening to say the least.

Moving further, the top bezel houses the speaker grille, selfie camera and sensors. The 5.7-inch HD+ IPS capacitive touchscreen displays like an affordable smartphone it is though. Boasting of 1440 x 720 pixels in resolution and 282 pixel per inch density, displayinfg visuals that are clear enough for users. Additionally, the screen stretches up to 76.45% screen to body ratio.

Hardware and Software

Running the race here is the MediaTek Helio P23 MT6763T chip with Octa-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 8-cores of processor runs impressively at 2.3GHz and boasts of a 16nm process technology. Taking charge of graphics is the ARM Mali G71 MP2 graphics processor, boasting of 2-cores and clocking at 770MHz.

Multitask with 4GB RAM space available with an amazing memory speed of 1.6GHz. In terms of storage, there’s a 64GB storage space available as well, which you can upgrade up to 128GB with a memory card. The A1 smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with ColorOS 3.2 skin.

Camera

At the rear, the 13MP shooter has f/2.2 aperture and captures 4K resolution images. The camera comes with a LED flash and so many other features like optical zoom and the rest. With the Oppo A1 you can capture photographs with 4160 x 3120 pixels in dimension and record FHD videos of 1080 pixels at 30fps. The 8MP selfie camera has f/2.2 aperture, 5P Lens and supports face recognition technology.

Battery

Powering the Oppo A1 is a 3180mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take more than 1.7 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.
