OxygenOS 9.0.5 April 2024 Update With Security Patch Rolls Out For OnePlus 5 & 5T

OnePlus is a very popular smartphone brand today. It is fast in terms of providing software updates than most of the other smartphones brands. Oneplus smartphones use their own customized version of the Android mobile operating system known as OxygenOS. OxygenOS 9.0.5 April 2019 Update With Security Patch rolls out for OnePlus 5 & 5T.

OnePlus has recently started rolling out OxygenOS 9.0.5 Update for its 2017’s OnelPlus 5 and Oneplus 5T model. This update mainly includes Security Patch and few bugs fixed for improved stability.

What’s in The OxygenOS 9.0.5 Update

The most important update is the April 2019 Security Patch. In this security update, the flaw found in Qualcomm’s Secure Execution Environment(QSSE) has been fixed. This bug allows attackers to find the private keys from QSEE on most of the smartphones powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon. Though for this attack root-level privilege access is required. This means that the attacker can exploit those phones only which are rooted. But Now your phone will be fully secured from this flaw after April 2019 update.

More issues have been fixed to improve performance and stability. These issues mainly include parallel apps and gaming mode.  Oneplus send an update to only some percentage of its users first. The company checks that the update is not causing any issues and everything works well then the update is finally released to all the users worldwide.

  • Phone: Improved stability for the phone app
  • Parallel Apps: Fixed issues with parallel apps showing primary account and issue with download pictures in parallel WhatsApp is also fixed.
  • Gaming Mode: Fixed couldn’t receive third part apps video call issues.
