Philips S318 Specs Review, Price and Where to buy

Are you new to the Android world and you are on the lookout for a device to start the journey? Or are you on a tight budget, yet you want a pretty decent and standard Android phone that can perform the basic functionalities of a smartphone and more? Then the Philips S318 may be what you are looking for.

Let’s have a look at what the latest beauty from the Dutch company has to offer.

DESIGN AND DISPLAY

Philips S318

Though available in only the Grey colour option, the ombre design on the rear of the device where the top half is black and smooth while the other half is grey and roughly textured is absolutely stunning.

The rear camera, LED flash and speak grill are located on the rear and they also bring out the beauty of the Philips S318 ombre design.

On display duty, there is a decent sized 5.0 inch scratch resistant HD display.  The screen is an IPS LCD display and has a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels.

PROCESSOR, OS AND STORAGE

unnamed 19

The Philips S318 has a Quad-core Cortex-A53 processor which runs at a clock speed of 1.3 GHz. The System-on-Chip used on the mid-ranger is MediaTek’s MT6737 SoC and the operating system is the Android v7.0 Nougat OS.

For efficient running of applications and multitasking, a decent 2GB of RAM is placed on board. To keep whatever files, documents, multimedia, and application data, the 16GB internal storage unit may not be enough. However, there is a dedicated Micro SD card slot to the rescue. The slot permits expansion to the tune of 128GB.

CAMERA AND BATTERY

The Philips S318 has a single 8 MP lens on the rear acting as the primary camera. Subjects to be captured by the rear camera are brightened up by the single LED flash directly below the lens.

To capture selfies and maybe for video calls, the 5 MP camera on the front should be up to the task.

Philips S318

Powering the Philips S318 is a 2,500 mAh Lithium Ion battery. The phone doesn’t support fast charge but the battery is removable. This means you can have as many spare possible for easy replacement.
