Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 Has Been Launched For Budget Smartphones With Premium features

The worlds most popular mobile chipset maker company hs finally released a new SoC “Qualcomm 215” in its Snapdragon 2-series. It will bring new premium features for the budget smartphones which was earlier found in the premium segment smartphones.

But for now, it’s possible to get premium features in the smartphones coming in the low budget segment. For your knowledge, the branding of Qualcomm has been changed and now the company will only include “Snapdragon” as the processor of premium series. You will not find the word ‘Snapdragon’ mentioned in the branding of Qualcomm 2-series.

Qualcomm 215 will provide support for Dual ISP which means that the smartphones equipped with this chipset will support dual cameras rated up to 8MP.

The processor can support up to a 13MP resolution of a single camera phone. The phone will also support for full HD+ video recording. It has also the ability to support HD+ displays with an aspect ratio of 19:9. This will provide an awesome viewing experience in the display of the budget segment phones.

Qualcomm 215 Specification

The Qualcomm 215 will be powered by four ARM Cortex-A53 cores and is equipped with a 64-bit CPU which will provide an increased CPU performance by 50%.

This is the first processor of the new 2-series chipsets. This processor will be powered by Adreno 308 GPU which will provide better gaming support. Qualcomm Hexagon DSP support is also included to provide better audio and sensor processing.

The processor of the 2-series will also be powered by Qualcomm’s Quick Charge technology which will provide faster mobile battery charging by 75%.

Moving to the connectivity section, it will support Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X5 modem, Dual-SIM, Dual-Volte, WiFi 802.11ac, EVS voice call feature for Ultra HD calling and NFC for doing quick payments.

The company has made this chipset especially for countries like India where budget smartphones are in high demand. And you will find the 2-series chipsets getting in the smartphone by the second half of 2019.
