Realme 5 series including Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro were finally launched yesterday in India during an event held in New Delhi. The eye-catching fact about the Realme series is that they are the word’s first smartphones to feature a quad-camera setup at a budget price. The company also unveiled the Realme Bud 2 during the launch event of the Realme series phones. India is the first place to see the new Realme phones.
Realme 5 Pro Specs
Realme 5 Pro runs on ColorOS 6.0 based on Android Pie. The phone features a 6.3-inch full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1080×2340 pixels. The phone’s display comes with Gorilla Glass 3+ protection. Realme 5 Pro is powered by the new Snapdragon 712 SoC chipset along with 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM options.
Moving on to the camera department, the phone has a quad-camera setup at the rear side. The primary camera is of 48MP with Sony IMX586 image sensor, and the secondary sensor is 8MP with 119-degree wide-angle lens. The other two cameras include 2MP macro lens and the 2MP portrait lens. You will also find the electronic image stabilization (EIS) feature. The front sensor is of 16MP with 4-in-1 pixel tech and an f/2.0 aperture.
The connectivity options include 4G Volte, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm jack, and a USB Type-C port. The phone’s battery capacity is 4035mAh and supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging tech.

The other two cameras include 2MP macro lens and the 2MP portrait lens. You will also find the electronic image stabilization (EIS) feature in this variant. The front sensor is of 13MP with AI beautification tech.
Connectivity options include 4G Volte, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm jack, and a Micro-USB port. The phone runs on the battery of 5000mAh. However, there is no support for VOOC 3.0 fast-charging tech in this variant.
Realme 5 And 5 Pro Pricing & Sale Date in India
Realme 5 Pro has three storage variants – 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM, 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM, and 8GB RAM + 128 ROM. The base variant with 4GB RAM/64 internal storage has been priced at Rs 13,999. The 6GB RAM/64GB storage variant costs Rs 14,999, and the 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant is priced ad Rs 16,999.
Coming to the pricing section of the Realme 5, the phone is available in three storage options including 3GB RAM +32G storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and the 4GB + 128 storage. The base variant has been priced at Rs 9,999. The other two storage variants have been priced at Rs 10,999 and 11,999 respectively.
The Realme 5 phone will be on sell-through Flipkart and the official Realme site on 27th August 2019 at 12:00 PM. And the Realme 5 Pro will be made available on Flipkart and Realme site from 4th September 2019.
