Redmi 7A starts getting a software update in India. Xiaomi has released over-the-air (OTA) update V10.2.7.0 for the Redmi 7A smartphones. The update includes July Android Security Patch, Portrait mode for Camera and AI Scene Detection.
Xioami has published an official blog post about the Redmi 7A latest update on the Mi Community website. Here one of the members of the Mi team writes, “Now enjoy AI portrait mode on your Smart Desh Ka Smartphone Redmi 7A with MIUI Global Stable ROM V10.2.7.0. You don’t need a DSLR to have the bokeh shots, AI algorithm can now blur the background and have the beautiful bokeh on your portrait shots on Redmi 7A, for the front and rear camera.”
The Mi team also adds about the AI Scene detection”, “. Redmi 7A now supports AI scene detection which helps you to get the best images every time, no matter what you are clicking. AI scene detection is now available on Redmi 7A with 33 scene categories, including 6 India specific.”

How To Check For Updates On Redmi 7A
If there is an update available for your phone then you will find an OTA update notification. By chance, if you didn’t receive any notification about the update then there is a manual method to check for it.
Just head over to Settings> About Phone > System Update to check for availability of the software updates.
Xiaomi releases MIUI updates in batches, so it might take few more days to reach all the phones. The company has also provided the Recovery ROM and Fastboot ROM o Mi community site for manually installing the Redmi 7A v10.7.2.0 update.
