The rate at which Chinese smartphone makers are releasing phones is continually increasing. One reason might be due to the stiff competition among the plethora of smartphone manufacturers. Design & Display

With a 5.7-inch display, you shouldn’t expect the Oukitel U11 Plus to be small on the hands. This smartphone has an metal frame – aluminum alloy – and a plastic cover – poly-carbonate. The Oukitel U11 Plus is quite sleek and slim at only 8.3mm thickness. The device height – 154mm – is slightly shorter than most 5.5-inchers.

This smartphone weighs about 209 grams. This is quite justifiable when you consider the large screen and battery. There’s also a fingerprint sensor at the back of the device below the rear camera.

The display is 5.7-inch as stated already, and has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The display supports multi-touch functionality of up to 5 fingers at a time. Oukitel used a glass, which they call Asahi glass for the screen. With the screen you get crisp and vivid colors.

Hardware, OS & Performance

Under the hood of the U11 Plus is a MediaTek MT6750T chipset. This chip contains an octa-core processor with 4 ARM Cortex-A53 cores running at 1.5GHz and another 4 ARM Cortex-A53 cores with a clock rate of 1.0GHz. For graphics handling, you have a Mali-T860 MP2 GPU.

For storing your files and apps there is a large 64GB internal storage in combination with 4GB of memory. The internal storage can also be expanded via a microSD card.

The Oukitel U11 Plus runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. With the latest iteration of the Android OS preinstalled on the U11 Plus, users get access to a wide array of applications and games with some interesting features like better battery management.

Cameras

There are two 13MP cameras on either sides of the Oukiel U11 Plus. Both cameras also have LED flash and can be software interpolated to 16MP. The primary camera also has auto-focus and HDR support. Both cameras are pretty good at capturing sharp images; and while the rear camera can shoot Full HD videos, the front camera can only do HD.

Battery

Moving on, the battery on the Oukitel U11 Plus is fairly remarkable. The battery type is a Lithium-Polymer with a capacity of 3700mAh and is non-removable. Oukitel included a 5V/1.5A battery charger with fast charging capability. Although there’s no word on the battery life, given the capacity, the battery should deliver a good standby time for light and average users. Heavy users can also squeeze just enough time from the battery.

Conclusion

The Oukitel U11 Plus is another affordable but decently spec’d smartphone with some exciting features that include a 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM, a large screen and good battery. However, with so many similarly spec’d devices already in the market, the Oukitel U11 Plus is sure going to be met with cutthroat competition.

  1. well done bro, you made a typographical error on your theory. i was able to know with the help of the spec glance you wrote first. you wrote MEDIATEK MT6570T[old chip with dual clock frequence] instead of MT6750T which i confirm in other site. i detected it was a typographical error because you wrote the correct specs at the “spec glance ” you wrote in the begining.
i recommend you to correct the mistake on your theory if you can do so.

    again well done.
