Samsung (Foldable) Galaxy X Price, Availability, Design October Update

Samsung’s foldable phone has been in the works for years and all along has been receiving a lot of attention. The number of years people have been talking about this smartphone without actually being able to hold it in the palm of their hands make it look like the device will never see the light of day.

Now, in the month of October, we are learning that the birth of Samsung Galaxy X (or F as some call it) may be near. What will it be like? Will it be a tablet or a smartphone? How much will it cost? These and other questions bug the minds of fans and smartphone enthusiasts.

Samsung Galaxy X Pricing

Let’s start with the price of this highly rumored smartphone. Some months back, no one could successfully reveal the real price of this device. Now, we are getting new information regarding the price. Furthermore, we are getting more information about how the Samsung Galaxy X design pattern will be and when it will be available.

Now we come to pricing of the Galaxy X. Here is where we have the most unified thought on the Samsung Galaxy X. Whatever it is, this up and coming device will sell for close to $2,000. Some reviewers have simply claimed it will go for a price of $1,800, considering the price of already released Samsung smartphones.

The company itself has not mentioned anything about the price. But sources close to the company are revealing that to fans.

OLED Panels

Samsung Galaxy X design has received so many reviews that one could get lost trying to make a sense of it all. However, we will love to think of the new announcement that the company made regarding a flexible OLED panel. The company said it is indestructible and we believe or think this could be the design we are looking for.

But we can’t completely say that Samsung will use this in the foldable device, Galaxy X. Only thing we can say is that it the panel described by Samsung recently is the kind of design that Galaxy X should have.

Corning Gorilla Glass will be omitted from the design as it is not flexible in any way. The screen has to be unbreakable. Also, it appears that it would be a bezel-less smartphone.

Since this incoming smartphone is foldable, analysts believe it will measure from seven to eight inches in length. However, we cannot say if the Samsung Galaxy X arrives it would be double or triple folds.

Performance

Other important information to note about the Samsung Galaxy X is that it definitely will run on Android 9 Pie firmware and we so happy about that, since several upcoming devices will also arrive with the latest Android.

In addition, the processing chipset to be on the Galaxy X appeared to be the latest chipset that will succeed the Snapdragon 845. This is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150, also known as first Dedicated Neural Processing unit (NPU).

The importance of this chipset is its ability to crunch large amounts of data for faster machine learning applications. Hopefully, this will help in competing with other smartphone manufacturers who make use of dedicated NPUs. This too is not set in stone, as a thought grows that Samsung wants the Snapdragon 8150 for Galaxy S series smartphones.
