It’s amazing what Samsung is doing these days. The Company is offering the Galaxy A9S with four different cameras! LG V40 ThinQ recently gave us a peek into what triple rear cameras can look like. Even before that, the Galaxy A7 had arrived with triple cameras.
And now, before getting the sense of that, now Samsung is giving us another thought by bringing out a leak of four cameras to the back of one phone. If you had at one time read about Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Pro, it refers to the device we are writing about here; the Samsung Galaxy A9S.
Apart from the cameras, the device also will arrive with enviable display features. Outwardly, the device is dominated by FHD+ resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels. This comes in 6.28 inches AMOLED Infinity Display. Combine that with a premium quality all-glass construction of Galaxy A9S frame.
There is the thought that the design of this latest leaked product is inspired by the Galaxy A9 Star that came out earlier in 2024. Why is that? The reasons are because the Samsung Galaxy A9S adopts the square-shaped fingerprint scanner and odd-looking square shaped vertical camera setup.
Four cameras are said to be the backbone of the Samsung Galaxy A9S at the rear side. These will be made up of one main 24 MP shooter with a f/1.7 aperture. You can use a secondary sensor for enabling parallax features and also for calculating distance. The secondary sensor can be any of the three others that are also built in here.
The second rear shooter will be a 5 MP camera. This one will arrive with a depth sensor for live focus. In the same vein, the third shooter will be an 8 MP wide angle lens with f/2.4 aperture.
The fourth and final camera will be a 10 MP shooter with f/2.4 aperture. Furthermore, this will arrive with 2x optical zoom.
Another report before the latest leak confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy A9S will powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. The fact that Samsung, a Korean company relies with another manufacturer’s SoC means that this latest device may be released in a country apart from USA and China first. More so, it will feature 6GB RAM, working together with 128GB of storage. We await seeing the device gather up to 512GB of external storage through microSD card. We’ll keep you on the loop about it.
There were other specifications of the A9S device released but we don’t have a full specification yet.
As per the battery life, it will be a less than impressive 3720 mAh, probably non-removable battery. We surely believe that Samsung will maintain its Quick Charge 2.0 standard in the Galaxy A9S. What else do we expect?
Of course, the device will run Android 8.1 Oreo straight out of the box. However, what is more thrilling is to expect what innovation the company may try to bring up with its ‘Samsung Experience UI’ customizations.
On October 11, Samsung Galaxy A9S and its companion, the Galaxy A6S will go official. By that time, we will know more about these two Samsung products.
