The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is now official. Thanks to the new design which is little bits of difference from the Galaxy Note 8 smartphone. These two phones are now the latest flagship from Samsung. However, they are also the latest phone in 2024 with a classic body design and processor. In the article, we will be comparing the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with the Galaxy Note smartphone.

You can hardly notice any difference on both phones. They share similar design both on the front and back with the S-Pen which has been the trademark of Note series.
However, there is some significant upgrade that you can easily notice when you hold the smartphones together. The Galaxy Note 9 has been upgraded so it’s size is slightly heavier than the Note 8.

It has 161.9 x 76.4 x 8.8 mm in dimensions and weighs 201 grams while the Note 8 has 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.6 mm in dimensions and weighs 195 gram. Though this is just minor differences there are still some added new tricks on the Note 9. For example, the fingerprint scanner has been shifted and position below the rear cameras. Other changes are the bright yellow S Pen.

Now you can use this S Pen for remote shutter operation for the camera, a clicker during presentations and control music playback. The screen reaches up to 83.4% screen-to-body ratio with HDR10 compliant and Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The Note 8 also sports a large screen size of 6.3-inch with 18.5:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels (521 PPI pixel density) under Super AMOLED display. It has 83.2% screen-to-body ratio with HDR10 compliant and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 as well.

On this display, the Galaxy Note 9 is winning with a higher screen-to-body ratio and also the display will be brighter and more color accurate than the already Note 8.

The Galaxy Note has a dual camera of 12MP rear cameras with a primary dual aperture lens which shifts between F2.4 to deliver a detailed shot. It also has F1.5 for low light shots while the Note 8 has an F1.7 sensor.

The selfie camera is 8MP with advanced Intelligent Scan’ facial recognition software. The Galaxy Note 8 still has the same dual 12MP rear camera and 12MP front camera for a selfie.

The Galaxy Note 9 will cost $999 for the 128GB variant while the 512GB will cost $1250. As you can see the only turn off on this phone is the big price. Yes, the Note 9 is a beast but the price is quite huge. However, you can get similar phones from Oppo, Xiaomi, and Vivo in a less price.
