This phone will be the successor of the Samsung W2018 phone that was launched in China. In terms of design, both phones follow the same footsteps. The Samsung W2019 is shipped in Gold and Silver color options as its standard colors, while the Samsung W2018 is available in black with a limited edition Silver and Gold color options. The good news here is that the Samsung W2019 now features a side mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication/verifications. Apart from that, the handset is now equipped with a dedicated button to wake up Samsung’s own AI assistant – Bixby. Although you will still find the Bixby assistance on the 2018 model, it apparently lacks a fingerprint scanner.

The onboard storage is either 128GB or 256GB. The W2018 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat, while 2019 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.

The Samsung Galaxy W2019 is the makeover of the Samsung W2018 smartphone. The handset now has a bigger battery, with a dedicated Bixby assistance and a fingerprint scanner as well. The hardware on the inside has been upgraded and it can now offer a smooth performance similar to the Galaxy Note 9. So the 2019 Edition of the Samsung flip phone will outperform the 2018 edition.
