We shared with you how to stop getting unsolicited SMS ads from MTN Nigeria few days back and today I will be guiding you on how to do the same on the Etisalat Network. The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has all Nigeria Network providers to provide an opt-out code to stop you from unwanted text messages and has made available a means for subscribers to opt out.
There was even a time I had up to 90 unread messages from Etisalat. But now it is something of history.
How To Opt Out Of Etisalat Nigeria SMS Adverts
- To opt out of this service, simply send ‘STOP’ (without quotes) to 2242
- You should get a message telling you that you have successfully opted out of their advertising service
