Verykool Apollo s5037 is a budget smartphone that was released last month alongside the Verykool Apollo s5036. But unlike the s5036, the s5037 comes with four cameras, that’s two rear and two selfie shooters.

The company is known for making these affordable smartphones that flows with the current trend. Those on a budget could get to use a smartphone with four cameras. Without further ado, meet the Verykool Apollo s5037.
Design
Sports a plastic overall body but you won’t notice from afar, till you get close perhaps. The top and bottom corner, where the antenna lines demarcate is very rough compared to the smooth main body. This was done to avoid creating a slippery phone, like most smartphones these days and honestly it adds to its beauty.
Loving the symmetrical aesthetics at the top corner, the dual rear camera are vertical at the top middle. The first camera looks bigger than the second, packing more pixels overall. There’s a fingerprint scanner underneath the dual shooters, while a dual-LED flash is right beside the features. It measures 10.4 mm slim, weighs 163g and available in Black, Gold, Gray and Blue colors.
Display
It’s not bezel-less which is pretty disappointing since Verykool are trying to go with the current trend. The bottom bezel houses three navigation buttons to navigate easily. While the top bezel houses the Verykool logo, dual selfie camera, LED flash and the rest.
To be honest, the logo at the top bezel was not necessary a bit, there’s already one at the back. Furthermore, the 5-inch TFT FWVGA capacitive touchscreen displays like other budget phones. The screen has a disappointing 480×854 pixels in resolution and just 196 pixel per inch density. The stretches up to 65.50% screen to body ratio, which might be a let down to many.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood is a MediaTek MT6580 chip, alongside a 32-bit CPU architecture and 4-cores of processor. The Quad-Core processor can run at 1.30GHz clock speed with 28nm process technology. Administrating graphics here, is an ARM Mali-T400 MP2 graphics processor with 2-Cores.
Multitask with only 1GB of RAM space available, it clocks at 533MHz for a smooth ride. In terms of storage, 8GB of storage space is available for storing files and apps. You can also upgrade further up to 32GB, if you need more space. The Apollo s5037 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box.
Camera
The dual 8MP + 2MP rear camera on the Verykool Apollo s5037 can only capture 3K resolution images. The camera comes with a dual-LED flash and other features and captures photographs with 3264 x 2448 pixels in dimension. You can record HD videos of 720 pixels at 30 frames per second. Take cute selfies and make video calls with the dual 5MP + 2MP selfie camera. The dual shooters comes with a LED flash, for night video calls.
Battery
Powering the Verykool Apollo s5037 is a 2000mAh removable Li-Po battery with no fast charging technology. Even without the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take more than 1.8 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.
