Vivo Y12 Specs review, 256GB External Storage, Quad Camera

There are a few things people love about this Vivo Y12 device. Yes, you may not be in favor of its screen resolution, it is just low for game-savvy people but the phone is not designed to be a gaming smartphone anyway. Anyway, there are other features that users will fall in love by the time the phone goes on sale at the end of May 2019. We will look through some of the most powerful features in this phone starting below.

Design and Display

A look at the design shows that it is not a waterproof device but it comes with display protection of some sort and even though we cannot really pinpoint what colors it arrive in, we know that it will come in various colors that will attract different types of people. As well, we can’t tell how much the device will weigh as more still needs to be revealed about the smartphone.

At the display, we could see definite features, such as IPS LCD capacitive screen technology.  This comes in 16 million colors. The screen size is 6.2 inches, which means that it is 97.4 cm2. However, the screen to body ratio is a good one at 84 percent. The screen resolution of 720 x 1520 may not really be big but it serves its purpose.

Camera Features

The Vivo Y12 is here with fairly good cameras. There are four; three to the rear and one to the front. At the rear we find 13 MP f/1.7, PDAF wide, while there is the 8 MP f/2.4 13 mm ultrawide telephoto. The last one at the rear comes as 2 MP f/2.2 and it comes with depth sensor. Some other nice features found here are optical zoom, LED flash, HDR, and panorama. Video performance is 1080p. Also, the front side has a selfie camera of 16 MP camera.

Hardware and Software

As well, this Vivo Y12 happens to be an Android OS v9.0 Pie and it is fortified with its own special user interface. There is also MediaTek MT6765 Helio P35 chipset with 12 nm process technology for the device. The CPU is Octa core, while the GPU is PowerVR GE8320. These are responsible for operational speed in the phone.

Storage Capacity and Sensors

Vivo Y12 comes in 4GB of RAM which cannot be expanded. But at the internal storage level it is having 64GB of space. In addition, there is external space that can be added with a memory card. The user can boost the space up to 256GB. Furthermore, fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass make up the sensors found inside the Vivo Y12.

Network and Connectivity

Vivo Y12, as a 4G Android smartphone is able to work with all the common networks such as 2G, 3G, and 4G, changing from one to the other as the need arises. Other network connectivity components are Wi-Fi, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.0 which is the latest tech in that aspect, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, FM radio, USB 2.0 Type–C, 1.0 reversible connector, and others. Another good thing is that this phone comes with NFC.

Battery Power

Powering the Vivo Y12 is a non-removable Li-Po 3000 mAh battery that comes with fast charging technology. There is no wireless charging option for the phone at all. Even the standby and talk times cannot be ascertained right now.

Price and Availability

Vivo Y12 officially sells for $170 at the moment. However, the phone has not been released yet, so we can’t say for sure if there will be a price change in the future. As to the availability of the phone, it will be released as the month of May 2019 reaches its end.
