Vodafone – eSIM starts in all postpaid rates

Vodafone starts immediately with the marketing of the eSIM (“embedded SIM”) for all postpaid tariffs.

In June of this year, Vodafone introduced the eSIM to the GSMA standard, for example, to support smartwatches. Now the telecommunications company is introducing the eSIM as a new SIM format for all postpaid tariffs in order to also support the eSIM function of the main devices.

The Apple devices iPhone Xs, Xs Max, and Xr, as well as the iPad Pro 2018, support the digital SIM card. The new iPhones are dual-SIM smartphones, which means they have on the one hand the already integrated SIM (eSIM), but also a physical SIM slot.

The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, available November 2, will also be equipped with the eSIM feature. However, you have to decide between the two Android devices between physical SIM and eSIM.
