WhatsApp for iOS is updated – from now you can see videos from Facebook and Instagram directly in the chat (photos)

WhatsApp has released a new update for its app dedicated to the iOS platform, which comes to version 2.18.51 introducing relevant news especially for the integration of video viewing from other platforms directly in the chat, and other minor improvements and bug fixes.

In particular, the video display integrated into the chats concerns, at the moment, the contents coming from Facebook and Instagram – starting from this update, once you receive a video sharing from one of these two social networks, you will have the possibility to view it directly in the chat using a special player. Furthermore, for European users, it has become mandatory to declare that you are at least 16 years old to use the app when registering your account (example in the gallery).

The rest of the changelog related to this update refers to minor additions – improved recording interface design, small improvements to voice recording functionality, clock sticker, backup chat history, invitations to friends and for calls and video calls. We also find the possibility, for the creators of chat groups, to remove other users from the role of administrator and to manage more specifically the permissions to edit information about the group itself.

The update that introduces the new features just described is being distributed through the App Store, for which we leave the usual download badge below.
