WhatsApp – there are hidden features but it comes at a price!

Although it now belongs to Facebook, WhatsApp has always been an independent application and has been around for several years. It is undoubtedly one of the best communication platforms. However, it could be much better. An example of this is that many programmers have dedicated themselves to making alternative applications based on this platform, but with many good differences. In fact, it is a very new admirable one of the modified versions of WhatsApp. I discovered apps full of features, and that solved some of the needs I had. However, there are always two dangers that can exist. Your privacy or your account may even end up being banned.

WhatsApp- there are hidden features but it comes at a price!

There are people looking for alternatives for the most varied reasons. Some because they want to read messages but without realizing that nobody has read them. Others because they want to customize the colors and put the interface exactly how they want it. There are still others that are for the sake of improving usability. These alternative apps that are cloned and modified versions of WhatsApp do it all. Of course, the price to pay is what I already mentioned. While there may be no security issues, at least with some, with others, they may already exist.

In my particular case and given that I am in several groups, I was not looking for anything complex. What I wanted was, without leaving the groups, to stop receiving notifications and not always having those groups at the top of conversations when someone spoke there. This is exactly what led me to research and discover GBWhatsApp. I was able to do that quickly, and now I can have my WhatsApp less cluttered. It’s just that sometimes it was difficult to get to people’s messages since conversations from some groups were always appearing.

However, this app does much more than that

I was also able to customize several privacy and security elements. It is possible, for example, to appear online for some with the time since the last activity and offline for others. I don’t use that. It is also possible to hide the fact that we have seen messages or not, although I think that these are less exciting aspects for me. Still, for other people, it can come in handy.

In addition, we can change all the graphical aspects of the Interface. Icons, colors, changing elements of the home screen. Anyway, everything you can imagine.

I understand that there are some things that WhatsApp does not want to do because they go a little against the philosophy of the application. It does not make sense for the general operation to be hiding read receipts or online status for just a few. But the issue, for example, of groups, makes sense.

WhatsApp should create a tab just for groups, for example, so that we can see quickly and at the top the messages they sent us. It is that if we are in 20 groups where people are always talking, imagine the scroll that has to be always done to return to an old message from someone or find something.

In fact, these modified versions of WhatsApp are a brave new world, with their dangers true, but they bring thousands of new features.

I say again– this has its dangers, although on the GBWhatsApp website, they state that the latest version is Anti-Ban.

That said, you can end your banned account. So you can no longer use your mobile phone number on WhatsApp. However, for me, I understand that it is a risk that I take and that if it is banned, I will have to live with it and find another number to continue talking. What is certain is that these apps are top-rated.

In fact, in some countries, the unofficial versions of WhatsApp are even more used than the official releases.

In addition to WhatsApp and GBWhatsApp, other unofficial applications are YoWhatsApp and FMWhatsApp. These apps are very popular in countries like Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa.
