At an event in Madrid, Xiaomi announced three new smart TVs. That said, we specifically have three models. The first two belong to the Mi TV 4S range and come in 43 and 55-inch models. Mi TV 4A is available in 32-inch version.
Mi 43 and 55 inch 4S TV
The Mi TV 4S is a 4K (3840 x 2160 pixel) HDR 4K television with MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation) technology to ensure smooth transitions. It integrates a 64-bit MediaTek 6886 quad-core processor with an MP3 Mali 470 graphics card that adds 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage.
The Mi TV 4S has a metal frame, a metal chassis, and a metal bracket. There are three HDMI ports, three USB ports, one Ethernet port, and one audio output. It also supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi, as well as Bluetooth Low Energy to connect Bluetooth devices such as keyboard, mouse or gamepad.
This unit has 2 10W bass speakers and also supports dts-HD and Dolby Audio.
However, this device runs Android TV 9 and comes with support for various video streaming services. It also supports DVB-T2, DVB-C and DVB-S2 live TV. One important thing is that whenever you want to add apps or games to this TV you can download them from the Google Play Store.
In the meantime, we have a voice remote control via Google Assistant, so you can easily play your favorite show with just one command.
The remote has buttons dedicated to Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
The Mi TV 4S can also serve as an intelligent hub to control all other household products belonging to this manufacturer. Using the remote control, you can adjust the fan speed, turn off the air cleaner or activate certain routines when you go to sleep.
The Mi TV 4S costs 449 euros for the 55-inch version.
However, the 43-inch version costs 349 euros.
TVs will be available for presale from November 25th and the first sale will be December 2nd. However, there will be a cheaper price for those who order the 55-inch model. So instead of paying 449 Euros, you can buy for 399 €.
Mi TV 4A 32 inch
The Mi TV 4A is more affordable with a price of 179 Euros. So for this price, we bring home a TV with a 1366 x 768-pixel screen, 2 5W speakers and a plastic frame and plastic stand.
Mi TV 4A also runs Android TV 9 Pie. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core processor paired with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. It supports Dolby Audio and DTS-HD.
The TV has three HDMI ports, two USB ports, AV input, an Ethernet port, audio output and a slot for a CI module, as does the Mi TV 4S.
The CI module slot is for viewing digital television without the need for a decoder.
We can only wait for the launch in Portugal. One thing is right. For this price, beware competition.
