Xiaomi has come a long way, and with their newest device, Xiaomi hopes to bring the best features into one complete package. While many of the features might seem pretty familiar, they haven’t come together quite like this. We take a look here at the Xiaomi Mi6.
One thing is for sure, Xiaomi has really gone all out with the design, and it is stunning. Various colour variants are manufactured with diverse materials to make them stand out and shine. It comes in ceramic black, black, blue and white.
The phone comes with premium build quality and has curves on all four edges of the phone. There are no camera bumps whatsoever on the back. It has a dual 12MP camera with a dual true tone flash on the back and an 8MP selfie camera.
The front of the phone holds the 1080p screen which is protected by Gorilla glass below of which are the fingerprint sensor/home button with the touch buttons and above are the speaker, the sensors and front camera.
To the right are the perfectly placed volume and power buttons meanwhile to the left is the slot to the sim card as it has no memory expansion capability, what you buy is what you get. Though it still packs a ton of space having 64/128GB.
At the bottom, we have the speaker, microphone and USB type C port. Sadly, no 3.5mm headphone jack… Minute of silence.
Other features include 6GB of ram, a Snapdragon 835 processor, 3350mAh battery and splash resistance. Be mindful not to put it in water though.
Also, the device comes running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with MIUI 8.0 on it. Personally, nothing beats stock Android experience.
I think the Mi6 is an awesome phone as Xiaomi attempts to make their flagship the place to find the best specs and features in one place.
