Xiaomi, the Chinese manufacturer has not yet revealed all his cards. For the month of June 2018, it is the turn of the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A to enter the catalog. Presented officially in China, these two devices succeed the Redmi 5 and 5A, essential models in the entry-level segment. These novelties take the good ingredients of those who want to get value for money.

Xiaomi Redmi 6, the best equipped
The design of both models does not change much compared to that of their predecessors but is nonetheless nice. The Redmi 6 sports a 5.45-inch HD + screen in 18 – 9 format. Processor side, it integrates a MediaTek Helio P22 coupled to 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage space or 4 GB / 64 GB. As for the photo, we have a dual main camera (12 and 5 MP ) horizontally and a 5 MP front camera that has a portrait mode too. Note also that artificial intelligence will be present with facial recognition and translation. Its battery reaches a capacity of 3000 mAh. Finally, it should be delivered in any latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 8.1.
Xiaomi Redmi 6A, the cheapest
More affordable, the Redmi 6A displays a 5.45-inch HD + panel in an 18 – 9 format. Under the hood, there is a MediaTek Helio A22 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage space. The 6A also has only one sensor on the back, which is 13 MP. For selfies, the front camera opts for 5 MP. It takes advantage of the same 3000 mAh battery.
Price and availability
The Redmi 6 will be sold at a price of 799 yuan or about 105 euros in its version of 3/32 GB and 999 yuan or about 132 euros in its 4/32 GB version. The 6A, meanwhile, has a price of 599 yuan which is 79 euros (excluding taxes). These references arrive on the Chinese market from June 15 and should be available in many countries of the world afterward since the Redmi 5 and 5A are currently sold in the Parisian store of Xiaomi and on its French online store. With taxes, the rates could be a bit higher.
