DESIGN AND DISPLAY
Its design and outlook is like the Redmi Y1. The location of the fingerprint scanner, front camera, android navigation buttons, rear camera and even the LED flash. Sporting the same colour variants as the Redmi Y1, Redmi Y1 Lite has Gold and Dark Grey.
The display has 5.5 inches size coupled with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. Its screen is protected by the third version of Corning Gorilla Glass. The screen has the multi-touch input and a screen-to-body ratio of 69%. The smartphone’s display has 16 million display colours and a 2.5D Curved Glass.
HARDWARE, SOFTWARE AND MEMORY
In this area, the Android v7.1.2 Nougat OS is what remains the same in the two debut smartphones. The CPU powering this smartphone is a Quad core 1.3GHz ARM Cortex-A53. The processor type is the 64-bit type. The chipset used on this version of the smartphone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC unlike the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC used in the Redmi Y1. The front camera has a 16MP sensor for capturing selfies while the rear has a 13MP shooter for capturing images from its point of view. The rear camera has a dual LED flash for brightening images in low light conditions. Features such as PDAF, wide angle lens, panorama and HDR are some of the features of the smartphone’s camera. BATTERY
The smartphone uses a non-removable Lithium Ion 3,080mAh battery as its power source. The battery lacks no Quick Charge technology to boost the charge time.
