A few days ago, the Chinese tech company, Xiaomi, put up a new product for crowdfunding. The product was the XiaoAI Mouse. The XiaoAI Mouse comes with a built-in voice assistant and it has managed to cross the crowdfunding amount by 10 times in just 2 days.
The official website reveals that over 17,000 people participated in the crowdfund for the XiaoAI Mouse and were able to raise over 1.28 million Yuan (roughly 181,000 US Dollars). If you didn’t know, Xiaomi set the crowdfunding price of the XiaoAI Mouse at 12 Yuan while the actual retail price of the product is set at 149 Yuan (roughly 18 and 21 US dollars respectively).
The mouse which comes with a built-in voice assistant features a design similar to the Mi Wireless Mouse which Xiaomi had previously launched. One new feature the mouse sports, however, is a new button that is dedicated to the voice assistant that activates when it is long pressed. The mouse also features an antibacterial casing with a metal scroller and a hidden mic as well.
The mouse also comes with support for several commands such as “open Word” and “Computer Shutdown.” On top of it, it is compatible with many different languages including English, Japanese, and Korean. You can connect the mouse to your smart home products and then activate them using only voice commands.
