The Nubia Z17 miniS is ZTE’s follow-up to the ZTE Nubia Z17 Mini smartphone. This is a typical case of a Mini device having an upgrade that is somewhere between the original device (ZTE Nubia Z17) and the Mini version (ZTE Nubia Z17 Mini). ZTE is all out to confuse users and buyers as this will put in more money into their coffers I guess.

DESIGN AND DISPLAY
The ZTE Nubia Z17 miniS comes with the same design, structure, dimensions, size, fingerprint scanner position, and weighs the same as the ZTE Nubia Z17 Mini. In fact, if given the two devices, you may have a very hard time telling the difference. However, despite the striking resemblance, there exist a difference in the appearance.
While the ZTE Nubia Z17 Mini has a single camera on the front, the ZTE Nubia Z17 miniS has two (dual) cameras.
Per display, the ZTE Nubia Z17 miniS comes with a 5.2 inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels display resolution, an 16:9 aspect ratio and a 424 ppi pixel density. The device still rocks a top quality display that’ll provide the best visual experience be it when watching a movie, reading a book, or playing games.
PROCESSOR, OS AND STORAGE
The ZTE Nubia Z17 miniS comes with 6GB of RAM and 64 GB of built-in storage space. The second SIM card slot doubles as a micro SD card slot for storage expansion up to 256 GB.

The Nubia Z17 miniS comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 System-on-Chip and runs on the Android v7.1 Nougat OS compared to the Z17 Mini Android v6.0 Marshmallow. However, the device maintains the same 1.9 GHz Octa core processor as it’s predecessor.
CAMERA AND BATTERY
There is a dual camera set-up on the rear and they are made of dual 13 megapixel sensors. The secondary camera system also comprises of dual sensors; a main 16 MP camera and a supporting 5 MP camera.
The ZTE Nubia Z17 miniS comes with improved battery. The capacity of the battery has been beefed up to 3,200 mAh and it comes with the ability to fast charge.
PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
The ZTE Nubia Z17 miniS will officially go on sale on October 19, 2017 at a price of $303 which is currently equivalent to NGN 110,000.
