Common Huawei P20 issues and their fixes

Problem 1 – It has Several reboots

There are many online forums that have talked about the random reboot problems in Huawei mobile device. The issue can occur in many applications although the frequency of the occurrence is not too much. One of the major problems with this device is the random shut down and restart problem. And all this happens without any named cause. You must be wondering, so what are the possible ways to solve this problem?

Solution 1:

  1. To start with, try wiping the cache partition of the phone.
  2. Turn off your device by holding down the power key and then click the Power off.
  3. After shutting down the phone, hold down the Volume up and Power keys at the same time until the logo appears on your screen.
  4. After this, release the Power key, but still hold the Volume up key until you can see the EMUI on your screen.
  5. You can also make use the down Volume key to focus on the wiped cache partition and the Power key to select it.
  6. When it is done, you can use the up Volume key to highlight Reboot system now and the Power key to select it.

Problem 2 – There is a Delay in the touchscreen

The delay in the touchscreen of this device is another issue that can bother the phone owner. You might try with specific and small movements, but it will not assist you much.

Solution:

  1. Right from the settings, you can go on to the Smart Assistance and then move to the Motion Control to activate the Smart Screenshot.
  2. You can also take the device to the customer service for major checks and fixing the problem of the software.

Problem 3 – Battery draining too fast

  1. Go to the Settings click on Battery and then change Ultra power saving or Power saving mode or the Power saving mode on. This will help to make your battery life last even longer than expected.
  2. You can save the battery life by going to Settings then click on Security and then Screen Lock and Passwords then modify the display operations.

Problem 4 – Malfunctioning in the microphone

We have had some people complaining about the malfunctions of the microphone. In some cases, you will not be able to hear the calls well, or it may not allow you to record audio messages and videos properly.

Solution 1:

  1. Hold down the Power button and then restart the device. For many people, this seems to be the provisional solution to the issue. The issue may be due to the USB-C headphone adaptor, the Bluetooth for audio or maybe the Private Space. The best you can do is to restart the device after using all these functions.
  2. If there are any applications that help to assist microphones, then you can give it a try to uninstall the function to see whether everything is going right or whether it helps in solving the problem.
