Alcatel 3X is one of the three Alcatel 3-series smartphones recently announced by TCL. Following rumors and leaks about the Alcatel 3-series smartphones, we now have for ourselves confirmation from the smartphone OEM itself. This smartphone is the second best amidst the three 3-series smartphones released by TCL. Its large 5.7-inch screen, large although variable RAM and large also variable storage are examples of its second nature. Now, let’s get down to the full specs of the Alcatel 3X.
Design & Display
The smartphone sports the plastic material with either a glossy finish or a metallic finish, well, that depends on the market. Around the back, two cameras are located with a dual tone LED flash, fingerprint scanner and alcatel logo. At the front, there is the front camera, earpiece, light sensor and a LED flash at the top bezel while the thin bottom bezel lacks any occupant. Soft Android navigation keys appear on the screen. It is noteworthy that the smartphone’s bezel-less display and the 2.5D curved glass makes the device appealing. The dimensions of the device are 153.5 mm length x 71.6 mm breadth x 8.5 mm thickness while the weight isn’t much as it pegs 144 g. Colors of the device are Black, Blue and Gold just like the Alcatel 3.
The display has a 5.7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. Alcatel 3X’s screen clarity is expressed by the resolution and 282 PPI pixel density. Its aspect ratio is 18:9 and its screen-to-body ratio is 76%. Features such as multi-touch input, 2.5D curved glass and 16 million display colors are supported on the display.
Camera
Alcatel 3X uses a dual rear camera setup of 13 MP and 5 MP qualities to capture images. This dual camera setup has a dual tone LED flashsu support it uses to brighten images taken in low light conditions. EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) feature is present; it minimizes the blurring that could occur due to minimal shaking while using the camera. 78-degree wide angle lens and f/2.0 aperture are features that make the camera take note solid images. At the fore, a 5 megapixel camera is at hand to snap the selfies. Supporting the camera is the LED flash and the 120-degree wide angle lens.
CPU, OS & Storage
MediaTek MT6739 is the chipset controlling operations on this device. It encloses a Quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU that clocks at 1.3 GHz. The GPU present on the device is the PowerVR GE8100. Unlike Android Oreo OS found in Alcatel 3, Alcatel 3X sports the Android Nougat OS. For multitasking, it has two variants – 2 GB / 3 GB while for its storage, it has 16 GB / 32 GB variants that can be expanded using a MicroSD card.
Battery
Alcatel 3X uses a non-removable Li-Ion 3,000 mAh battery as its duration source.
