Dell Alienware m15, the company presents the new “light and thin” laptop

Great news for Dell, the US multinational among the most famous in the world for the production of personal computers and IT systems. The US company, in fact, has decided to expand its Alienware range, mainly dedicated to “gaming”, by introducing a new device – it is the Alienware m15 laptop.

The main feature of this new handset is the very low weight, in addition to the reduced edges: Alienware m15, at least until hours, is, in fact, the lightest and thinnest laptop in the Alienware range.

The Alienware m15 weighs 2.177 kg and is said to be 20% lighter and 14% thinner than the previous generation of Alienware 13. The notebook has a battery life that can go up to 17 hours and is available in both Epic Silver and Nebula Red options. The new laptop has an initial price of $ 1,299 (about € 1129) and will be available globally from October 25 on Alienware.com or through affiliated points of sale.

The Alienware m15 sports a 15.6-inch display and a magnesium alloy casing that provides power and portability. The well-known Engadget portal reports that the display options include a 1080p 60Hz screen, a 144hp 1080p screen or a 60Hz 4K panel.

The display has a narrow side frame to maximize screen space and features a backlit numeric keypad with 1.4 mm keys, anti-ghosting keys, and four Alien-FX zones to illuminate the room during any gameplay. The notebook is powered by Intel’s eighth-generation processors (options of a quad-core Core i5-8300H or six-core i7-8750H) paired with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 OC or 1070 Max-Q graphics cards and the Alienware graphics amplifier. In addition, the laptop contains up to 16 GB of RAM and the storage options offered up to 1 TB of SSD and 1 TB of a hybrid drive.

For the Alienware m15, there are two battery options, one for 60 Whr and the other for 90 Wh – the first offers 7.1 hours of video playback, while the second can get up to 10.6 hours of video playback. Always according to the Engadget report, the new device should be characterized by an efficient thermal management during the game sessions (even the most intense). PCWorld also reports that the laptop will have three USB Type-A ports, one HDMI 2.0, miniDisplay 1.3 port, Noble Lock port, Thunderbolt 3, charging port and Gigabit Ethernet.
