ELEPHONE P8 MINI REVIEW
We have given the review and specifications of the Elephone P8; which was a beautiful device with more than average specs by the way. Now, here comes the review of its younger brother; the Elephone P8 Mini.
The Elephone P8 Mini is a toned down version of the Elephone P8. The P8 mini sees some slight changes in the screen size, amount of RAM, position of fingerprint scanner and camera set-up. Let’s have a full look, shall we?
DESIGN
Like the Elephone P8, the Elephone P8 Mini is also finely designed. One might be firstly but wrongly forced to think the Elephone P8 Mini will have the same design as the Elephone P8 but reverse is the case. The Elephone P8 Mini rocks an entirely different look.
Though small in size, it still manages to possess all basic features one might need in a smartphone in this present era. At the rear, the device’s fingerprint sensor is at the upper one-third region; below a dual camera set-up.
Elephone P8 Mini comes in three colour options – Red, Sky Blue and Black.
DISPLAY
A 5.0-inch IPS LCD screen handles visual functioning of the Elephone P8 Mini. The display comes at a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. One particularly interesting feature of the P8 Mini’s display is the latest image processor which adjusts colour according to light on the screen.
PROCESSOR, OS & STORAGE
Powering the Elephone P8 Mini is a MediaTek Octa-Core 64-bit processor that runs at a fast clock speed of 1.5GHz. Switching between applications and multitasking will likewise go smoothly and without clogs, all thanks to the large 4GB RAM. For heavy gamers, the ARM Mali-T860 Graphics Processing Unit got you covered.
There’s also enough (if not more than) to keeps as many files as the on-board 64GB ROM can store. You can even go ahead to increase the storage space to 128GB using an external SD card. The P8 Mini runs on the latest Google Android Nougat v7.0 operating system.
CAMERA
A dual camera set-up in the sort of 13MP and 2MP is situated on the rear alongside a LED flashlight. The 2MP camera is used obtaining wide-angle, depth, and color separation while the main 13MP camera captures the image.
The front camera is a 16MP sensor that further processes the image to improve the quality after capture. There’s also a flashlight support for the front camera.
BATTERY
A non-removable 3,700mAh battery keeps this device alive for about 24 hours. On the side, it’s quite ironic how the P8 Mini has a large battery capacity than the main Elephone P8 itself. The P8 Mini lacks Quick charge ability but nonetheless charges from 0-100% over a relativelyreasonable amount of time.
