Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge receive security update

It seems Samsung is aggressively launching the Android security patch in January 2018 for its Galaxy devices, and today it’s the 2016 flagship – the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge – today received the software update.

Android 1/2018 security patch is being released for Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge users in China, with software code G9300ZCU2BQL3 and G9350ZCU2BQL3 respectively. Other countries will soon receive this update.

The update includes patches for six critical vulnerabilities in the Android operating system, along with patches for low, medium, and high security vulnerabilities. In addition, this update also patched 13 holes found on Samsung software.
