Geecoo Hot 1 is now official as the first smartphone from the new Hot series which was introduced by the company. At a press conference, the company introduced two new series, the “Hot” and “Selfie” series. The Hot series focuses on trendy features, while the selfie series will be for selfie lovers, all on a budget.
Well, the Hot 1 has finally graced us with its stunning body, sporting the trending Infinity display with the trendy iPhone X-like dual shooters at the back. Internally, the specs are on the low, with 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, it runs on Android 8.0 Oreo Go Edition as well. Lets find out more.
Design
I have seen lots of budget-friendly smartphones, but the Hot 1 is the sleekest of them all. It has a Metallic body that reflects light in the most beautiful way. The iPhone X-like dual shooters at the top left corner definitely adds to the beauty of the device no doubt.
Turning over to the side, we can see the fingerprint scanner sitting comfortably and easy to access. It measures 8.4mm in thickness as well, even though it’s affordable, the Geecoo Hot 1 doesn’t look cheap one bit. It was launched in this Blue color, other colors will be rolled out soon.
Display
This isn’t the first bezel-less smartphone from Geecoo though, but since the Hot series is all about having the trendy features, it’s no surprise the Hot 1 is bezel-less. The narrow bezels are super tiny, the bottom and top bezels are still pretty much visible.
The screen stretches up to 83% screen to body ratio, according to Geecoo. This means the 5.5-inch HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen will offer users full view display. The screen has a resolution of 640 x 1280 pixels and 260 pixel per inch density, which brings out the details on the screen nicely.

Hardware and Software
It houses the MediaTek MT6739 chip with Quad-Core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 4-Cores of processor here runs at the speed of 1.4GHz with 28nm process technothelogy. The ARM Mali-400 MP2 graphics processor comes with 2-Cores.
Multitask through light apps and Go apps with the 1GB RAM space available. It has a standard memory speed of 533MHz. In the storage department, 8GB is available and ready to store all files. You can always upgrade up to 32GB with a memory card. The Geecoo Hot 1 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo Go Edition.
Camera
The dual 8MP + 0.3MP rear camera comes with a dual-LED flash in between, just like on the latest flagship device from Apple. The cameras capture photographs with 3264 x 2448 pixels in dimension, and comes with other features as well. There’s a 5MP selfie camera at the top bezel.

Battery
Powering the Geecoo Hot 1 is a 3000mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 2.5 hours.
