Android One smartphones was first spotted in 2015 targeting all first-time smartphone users in emerging markets. One of the early adopters was the Infinix Hot 2 which was later followed by others like, Mircomax Canvas A1, Spice Dream UNO, Karbonn Sparkle V and the likes.
Android One smartphones are stock Android OS from Google, Google manages the design, development, marketing, and support of these devices while all manufacturing are carried out by collaborating original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
It is no more news that most Android one smartphones have already gotten the Nougat Android 7.1.1 update while others are still waiting.
While working on something online i stumble upon an Android One smartphone made by General Mobile with the latest version of Android 7.1.1 (Nougat). It comes with a 5-inch screen, 2GB of RAM with 16GB of on-board storage, also comes with the most up-to-date version of Google Now and also it is a 4G powered Android phone.
The phone is available in Kenya at an affordable price but we do not know yet if it will be that much affordable in Nigeria and other African countries.
