Since the beginning of December 2018, it is clear– Google Chrome will also be given a dark mode under macOS. And Windows? Developer Peter Kasting has now also confirmed that there will be a dark mode feature- “For the desktop, support for native dark mode is in progress; In the meantime, we generally recommend using a dark theme” As you can see, there is no time frame, in the case of Dark Mode it might actually be the case that macOS is considered first. At the moment, Chrome 72 is on its way to the final release, which is expected in mid-January. Chrome 73 will follow two months later. If Google continues to drive the changes through the release channels, we will probably see the new feature in one of the two versions. If you do not want to wait until then, you can make use of a large pool of dark themes for the browser.
