The range of Honor devices will expand with the arrival of a new smartwatch. The confirmation comes from the Bluetooth SIG certification data that underline the existence of the project. The new Honor device should debut in the first quarter of next year and could be presented in Europe at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona, scheduled for the end of February.
From the certification data, it is clear that the new Honor smartwatch will be based on a SoC MediaTek, which at the moment do not know more details, and can count on support for Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy. The project has the model number of ELF-G10. The Bluetooth SIG certification data does not contain further information on the new smartwatch, but it should have reached a level of development now complete.
For now, we just have to wait for more details about the project. It is possible to hypothesize that the new Honor device will occupy the low end of the market, proposing itself as an economic solution and within reach of many users who might be interested in buying their first smartwatch.
As mentioned, the new Honor device should debut at the beginning of 2019. Keep following us for all the updates related to the project and its possible debut on the market.
