How to Make a Door with Multiple Designs in Fortnite

Whether you’re playing Fortnite’s Save the World or Battle Royale, one thing you are going to have to learn is how to make doors. Doors are useful in closing off your structure and still be able to go in and out of it.

If you play Fortnite Save the World, husks can’t open doors while in Battle Royale, enemies can open your own doors. When you decide to build a wall, it decreases the overall health of the wall a little. The same applies when you build windows or make the wall smaller in general.

If you can, go into practice mode to learn how to build doors quick. Building doors fast is important as it helps you win more fights.

In the guide below, we will show you how to create doors and editing walls.
Before you can create doors, you need to know how to edit the walls. Go to the Settings and check your controls. On PC, the default key to do this is the G key on your keyboard.

Basic Door

The most common and basic type of door you can create in Fortnite is just a door in the middle of a wall piece.

The second and only other type of door which you can build in Fortnite is a door with a window. If you choose this, a door will be built on one side of the wall and a window on the opposite side. You can then shoot out of this window.

This kind of design is great for when you are in combat or you need to defend your base in Battle Royale. This design is also pretty useful in Save the World.
Edit the wall piece, and remove two vertical pieces from one side of the edit menu. Meanwhile, remove another from the center block on the opposite side. You can check the diagram in the top left corner of the image above in case you get confused.
