The Huawei Honor 10 GT has been introduced by the company in China with a bigger RAM space. The Honor 10 was released in May 2018 and has been highly criticized as not being flagship worthy.
Well, Huawei’s sub brand, Honor has released a beastly version called the Honor 10 GT which packs 8GB of RAM and the latest GPU Turbo technology. The new technology promises a 60% increase in performance and 30% decrease in power consumption.
Design
The new Honor 10 GT didn’t fall too far from its sibling in terms of design. It sports an aluminium alloy overall unibody and frame with the gradient shade. The device reflects light in the most subtle way in different colors and shades.
The dual cameras and LED flash are all in a horizontal position at the top left corner. Of course it doesn’t have a rear fingerprint scanner. It measures just 7.7 mm in thickness and weighs 153g overall. It’s available in Phantom Blue, Phantom Green, Midnight Black and Glacier Grey colors.
Display
The front looks identical to the Honor 10 with no major changes whatsoever. It comes with a notched screen, however, the notch is very minimal as well. There’s a physical home button at the bottom chin which supports fingerprint reader.
Dishing out stunning visuals is the 5.84-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, this boasts of 1080 x 2280 pixels in resolution and 432 pixel per inch density for sharp visuals. It also got up to 79.9% of the entire front.
Hardware and Software
It houses the same Hisilicon Kirin 970 chip we saw on the P20 Pro and brings AI capabilities as well. There’s 8-cores of processor here as well which clocks at 2.4GHz. While the Mali-G72 MP12 graphics card is powered by GPU Turbo tech.
With the 8GB of RAM on this beast, you can now launch so many heavy apps and multitask through them all. You get to choose from two storage variants, there’s one with 64GB and an expensive variant with 128GB. The Honor 10 GT runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.1 skin on top.
Camera
In the photography department, this beast houses dual 16MP + 24 MP shooters with f/1.8 aperture respectively. Features on the camera includes gyro-EIS, PDAF, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama then a LED flash. Of course it shoots 4K videos @30fps, 1080p@30/60fps, while the 24MP selfie camera has f/2.0 aperture as well.
Battery
Powering the Huawei Honor 10 GT is a 3400mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
