Xgody D27 Review, 3G Android, Camera, Price, Performance & Full Specs

You can take away a lot of things from the Xgody D27, which was launched in the early parts of December 2018. This mobile phone comes without a 4G LTE technology, and sheds some weight at the storage level. Everything about the Xgody D27 seems to be scaled back.

Fans should consider this as the last one from Xgody this year. The device is also an affordable smartphone made for people who are on a tight budget or are teenagers who aren’t looking for much.

In this review, we will check out the full features of the Xgody D27 such as price, cameras, battery, performance and other features. These determine whether people will buy it or not.

Design and Display of Xgody D27

Primary design material in the device is plastic. Dimensions are 146.75 x 71.5 x 8.9 mm. However, it is not water resistant, has no protective measures. It also comes in red, black, silver and gold colors.

Display type is IPS LCD capacitive touch screen of 5.5 inches size. The pixel resolution is 960 x 540. Display colors are 16 million colors. Further, the pixel density is 200 ppi, screen to body ratio is 79.7 percent. Other features include scratch resistance, 2.5D curved glass screen but there is no secondary display in the smartphone.

Camera Features

There is a primary rear camera setup of 5 MP in the Xgody D27. It comes with LED flash. Also, to the front is a selfie camera of 2 MP. This also comes with LED flash technology. The video power is 720p@30fps of FHD recording.

Other good features include auto focus, continuous shooting, digital zoom, exposure compensation, HDR, panorama, scene mode, self-timer, and others.

Hardware and Software

Android v7.0 Nougat is found in the smartphone as the operating software. We cannot tell if this can upgrade to the latest Android smartphone. There is also MediaTek MT6580 with process technology 28nm, while the CPU is 1.3 GHz Quad-core Cortex A7. The GPU is ARM Mali 400 MP2 while the device comes with 32-bit architecture.

Storage Capacity and Sensors

Xgody D27 comes with 1GB of RAM which definitely cannot be expanded. Furthermore, there is also internal storage of 8GB which can be increased to 32GB with micro-SD card. Sensors include fingerprint, accelerometer, proximity, and ambient light.

Network and Connectivity

There are 2G and 3G, and there is no 4G in the Xgody D27. It means that the smartphone is GSM and HSPA capable. There are also two nano/micro SIM compartments designed to make the networks operate nicely.

Other components in the network connectivity are Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, microUSB, GPS, A-GPS, headphone jack, and facial identification. However, there are no infrared, NFC, or HDMI in this device.

Battery Life

Powering the device is the Li-Ion 2500 mAh removable battery. It comes without fast charging and has no wireless charging technology. The talk time is 20 hours, while the standby time is up to 168 hours.

Price and Availability

You can purchase the Xgody D27 with $68.99 USD which is the official price. However, we can’t guarantee that you will get this smartphone for that price everywhere you go online. Since the mobile phone has been released in December 2018, it will soon be ready to ship from stores and be readily available for purchase online
