Huawei Honor Holly 3 Specs Review & Price in Nigeria, Kenya & Ghana

The Huawei Honor brand is one that has gained a lot of prestige in the smartphone market, and it comes as no surprise that Huawei is capitalising on this to improve their sales. The Chinese company has launched the Huawei Honor Holly 3 in India along with two other Honor smartphones – the Honor 8 and Honor 8 Smart.

I began this article with that statement because the Huawei Honor Holly 3 is the same thing as the Honor 5A that was launched in China sometime in the middle of the year.

Huawei Honor Holly 3 Specs

Display & Design

The Huawei Honor Holly 3 has a 5.5-inch IPS display with an HD (1280 * 720) pixel resolution and 1000:1 contrast ratio.

The smartphone is designed with anti-glare coating and has a classic 3D textured back cover like its predecessor in the country (India), the Holly 2 Plus. It is 8.45mm thick and weighs 168 grammes.

Memory & Performance

Under the hood, the Holly 3 is powered by an octa-core Kirin 620 processor with a speed of 1.2 GigaHertz. This is paired with a Mali 450 GPU to deliver flawless performance.

The phone comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 128GB with a micro SD card.

Battery

The Huawei Honor Holly 3 packs a 3,100mAh battery to keep it running. It uses a power-saving technology which guarantees up to 41.76 hours of battery life with average usage and up to 28.1 hours of battery life with heavy usage.

Connectivity

The Honor Holly 3 comes with a dual SIM slot through which you can access 4G LTE networks. It comes with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 for wireless transactions, and GPS for navigation purposes.

Camera

At the rear, the smartphone possesses a 13MP camera unit which has a f/2.0 aperture and uses a 28mm wide-angle lens. The camera is accompanied by a LED flash.

The Holly 3 sports an 8MP camera at the front with a pixel size of 1.12um, a f/2.0 aperture and 4P lenses for taking wonderful selfies.

Software and Hardware

It’s a pity that the Holly 3 doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor, but you can quickly shake that off when you learn that it comes with Huawei’s juicy EMUI 4.1 which is built upon Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The smartphone also comes with box speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack to suit your audio needs.
