Huawei Mate 20 Pro’s first update brings along new camera features and updated security patches

Huawei is rolling out an update to the Mate 20 Pro devices which hasn’t been out for that long. The update carries the build number 9.0.0.126 and a file size of 491MB. Inside the update are some touches to the already good camera which brings AI Zoom so you can adjust the focus while recording videos. It also adds new filters and colors which can also be applied while shooting a video. Google security patches for the month of October which is the latest have also been added for improved and up-to-date security.

The Update seems to be a widespread one as users in the UK and South Africa seems to be getting the update already. If you own the device and haven’t the update already, you can manually check for it by going to the Settings Menu >> Settings >> System Update. If you still don’t get the update notification then it probably haven’t reached your country yet.

The Update doesn’t erase your data but you should probably back up your important data first as a precaution before updating your device and if you encounter any problem while updating, you can always call the Huawei customer care hotline.
