itel A31 – Review
Itel just added another affordable device to their range of affordable smartphones. The itel A31 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and disappointingly still packs just 1GB of RAM. The company focuses more on those on extremely tight budget. The low range is probably one of the most busiest in the smartphone industry. It looks like itel isn’t backing down anything soon, as they keep dropping these babies. Is the phone worth it? Lets take a look at the itel A31.

Design
The itel A31 is beautiful for a budget smartphone to say the least with a smooth back. Its very comfortable to hold and fits perfectly in your palm, with attractive lines at the back. The device was made available in three premium colors, which are gold, grey and black.
Love the place the rear camera is this time around, sitting pretty in the top middle. The camera is in a horizontal line with the LED Flash, popping out a bit. Just like the iPhone 7 Plus dual rear camera, there’s also a speaker at the back for quality music. The new device supports dual micro sims and quite bulky overall, measuring 8.9mm in thickness.
Display
Bezel what? Itel doesn’t have time to go bezel-less, they still love their photos with much bezels. It still looks like the usual itel smartphones with three navigation buttons at the bottom bezel. Itel A31 still sports beautiful screen nevertheless going with the retail price.

The 5.0-inch IPS touchscreen boasts of a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, which is not enticing. Furthermore, the screen is of low quality with only 195 pixel per inch density. It’s itel and a budget smartphone so there are no disappointment here.
Hardware and Software
In charge of the device is a Mediatek chipset with 4 cores of processor clocking at 1.2GHz. It’s not that bad though especially for light users, the 1GB should be enough as well. Just don’t run more three apps at once for a long time though with the itel A31.
For storage, it comes with 8GB internal storage space with 3.6GB already packed with system apps. Nevertheless, you can the remaining 4.4GB should be enough for light users. Experience the Nougat operating system as the new Itel A31 runs on Android 7.0.
Camera
The perfectly placed rear camera is an 8MP shooter, the camera boasts of a LED Flash underneath. It has autofocus and other quality camera features to help make your photographs come alive. For selfies, it has a little underrated 2MP selfie camera with face detection and beautify technology. The cameras are okay for those on a budget, there are so many apps with beautiful filters you can use.
Battery
Giving life to the itel A31 is a 2400mAh Li-Ion battery that is Non-removable. It doesn’t have the fast battery charging feature, it shouldn’t take long to charge a 2400mAh battery.

What a nice device and a lovely specs, but the battery capacity should be increased a little, just waiting for the price to see if it is affordable by the ordinary men.
