iTel P32 VS iTel A32F – why you should buy the iTel P32. iTel recently released three new smartphones into the Nigerian/African market. The three smartphones are iTel P32, iTel A32F, and iTel A15. One common thing between all three smartphones is that they run on Android Oreo (Go edition) operating software. iTel were among the first phone makers to partner with Google on the Android Go initiative. The OEM company are among the key players in the budget segment of the African market, not only for smartphones but also for featured phones.
For the purpose of this article, we’ll be looking at the iTel P32 and the iTel A32F. Both smartphones have some similar features such as a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, 5MP selfie camera and are powered by the same hardware. But which one offers the best quality-price ratio? Stay with me as we try to find that out.
iTel P32 VS iTel A32F – The Design
The design of both smartphones is somewhat similar. The iTel P32 and iTel A32F feature a front glass and a plain plastic unibody. They both feature an antenna line at the top and bottom back. The antenna lines of the iTel P32 is curved towards the edge. While the antenna lines of the iTel A32F is in a straight line with the top antenna line cutting through the single rear camera and LED flash.
One of the highlights of both budget smartphones is that they feature a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Considering their selling price, I’d say that’s a great feature. The iTel P32 sports a dual rear camera while the iTel A32F sports a single rear camera. The body colors available for both the iTel A32F and iTel P32 are Black and Gold colors.
iTel P32 VS iTel A32F – The Display
The display of the iTel P32 is actually better than that of the iTel A32F. The iTel P32 comes with no side bezels, although there’s still large bezel at the top and bottom. While the iTel A32F comes with large bezel at the top and bottom and also clearly seen side bezels. The iTel P32 features a 5.5 inch IPS LCD panel, an 18:9 aspect ratio, 77% screen-to-body ratio, 720 x 1440 pixels resolution and 282 PPI density. While the iTel A32F sports a 5.0 inch IPS LCD panel, 69% screen-to-body ratio, 480 x 640 pixels resolution and 195 PPI density.
iTel P32 VS iTel A32F – The Camera
The iTel P32 packs a dual rear camera, which is also one of the highlights of the smartphone. The dual rear camera features a dual 5MP sensors. At the front camera, the iTel P32 sports a 5MP shooter for selfies. While the iTel A32F features no dual rear camera. The smartphone takes pride in its 5MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera.
iTel P32 VS iTel A32F – Hardware and Software
The best highlight of the iTel A32F for me is the hardware. Among the three new budget smartphones from iTel, the iTel A32F comes with a better hardware. You have a MediaTek MT6737 chipset, ARM Mali-T720 MP2 graphics processing unit and Quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz running on the iTel A32F. While the MediaTek MT6580M chipset, ARM Mali-400 MP2 graphics processing unit and Quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz runs on the iTel P32.
Both the iTel P32 and iTel A32F runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) with 1GB memory and 8GB internal storage.
iTel P32 VS iTel A32F – The Battery
The iTel P32 comes with a non-removable Li-lon 4000 mAh battery. While the iTel A32F packs a non-removable Li-lon 2050 mAh battery. No fast battery charging support for either smartphone. And you’ll have a hard time charging them especially the iTel P32 with a big battery capacity.
iTel P32 VS iTel A32F – The Price
The iTel A32F is currently sold for about $58 (N20,300) while the iTel P32 goes for about $86 (N30,000). The iTel P32 comes with a dual rear camera, better display quality and twice the battery capacity of the iTel A32F. All of these for just an extra $28 (N9,800). I’d say the iTel P32 offers better quality-price ratio and it’s worth buying instead.
