LG is ready for the 5G, the first smartphone will be presented at MWC 2024

In about a month, on the occasion of the annual edition of the Mobile World Congress, there will be the official debut of the first LG 5G smartphone. The confirmation comes directly from the Korean house that will present its first device able to take advantage of the new standard of connectivity together with the new top of the range, LG G8.

LG’s first 5G smartphone will be based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC which will include the 5G modem, developed by Qualcomm, to access the new mobile network under construction in Italy. It should also be noted that the new device will be able to rely on a larger vapor chamber 2.7 than the heat pipe of the V40 ThinQ in order to improve, at best, the cooling system and manage the high temperatures associated with the use of the 5G network.

It should also be noted that the new LG smartphone with 5G support can count on a 4,000 mAh battery, a decidedly high value for the Korean home’s smartphone standards. The new project will be commercialized, starting next summer, by the Sprint telephony operator in the USA. At the moment, there is no confirmation of an official debut in Europe, however very likely during the second half of 2019.
