The LG Watch Style which was made in collaboration with Google heralds in the era of Android Wear 2.0 to compete with the likes of Apple and Samsung. With its alluring design, the smartwatch makes a strong stand in Googles’s Wearable platform. It offers about the same feature as most smartwatches but ups the ante with a sleek elegant design, which is why you would want the smartwatch on your wrist.
Although it is not as independent from your phone as the LTE enabled LG Watch Sport, it is still one of the smartest Android wearables around. With a price tag of $249, it offers just as much feature as most smartwatches in this price range with a slim dashing design being added to the mix. The rounded sandblasted matted stainless steel finish on the casing and smaller chassis means it is not as bourgeois as previous LG iterations.Available in titanium, rose gold and silver models, it one of the most good-looking smartwatches in the smartwatch this year. It also one of the lightest smartwatches in the world of smartwatches right now at 46 grams it almost half the size of the LG Watch Sport which is about 89 grams.
The LG Watch style uses a sleek 18mm strap which is easily replaceable to switch up your look. It comes with the Android Wear Mode straps which helps give more elegance to the experience and a microphone. Combined with the slender body the smartwatch as an IP67 certification which means it is dust and water resistant, however, it should be advised not to be taken swimming.
Latest Android Wear 2.0 devices come with a vibrant display and the Watch Style is no exception. With a fully round display with no flat tyre design, there is a slim bezel that covers the whole length of the screen. The touchscreen has a 1.2-inch, 360 x 360 resolution P-OLED display which is proportionate to the small watch casing. It provides a vibrant display and enough brightness to be viewed outdoors even in full sunlight.
There is also a rotating crown which when pressed down launches the app menu and twist to rotate to navigate through the apps, information feed or notifications. It runs on a 1.1GHz Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor with 512MB of RAM. The LG Watch Style comes with a 240mAh battery that lasts about a day with full usage.
