The LG X Power 3 has been launched in Canada as an entry-level powerhouse for those on a budget. The smartphone houses a massive a 4500mAh battery which can last for up to 2 days on normal usage.
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and comes with LG’s exclusive DTS – X Virtual Surround Sound. The X Power 3 also boasts of 32GB storage space and a smart rear fingerprint scanner. Lets find out more.
Design
The Power 3 looks exactly like most budget-friendly smartphones from LG, it sports a Plastic body that you can remove to change SIM cards. The rear camera sits at the top middle with the LED flash sitting beside it, the fingerprint scanner follows underneath as well.
We can see the “X Power 3” inscription on the body as well. The fingerprint scanner doubles as a smart rear key for taking screenshots and photos. It’s quite bulky to the sides, measuring 8.9mm in thickness. Overall, it weighs 171g and available in Blue colors.
Display
Turning to the front, you will be greeted with an older 16:9 screen, this comes with in-Cell technology offering amazing clarity and wider views of videos and images. There’s another LG logo at the bottom corner, while the usual features sit on top.
It boasts of a 5.5-inch HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, this has a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and 267 pixel per inch density. It has a display area of 69.24% screen-to-body ratio.
Hardware and Software
Behind the screen is the Snapdragon 425 chip from Qualcomm, however, this was built on an older 28nm process technology. It comes with 4-cores of processor clocking at 1.4GHz. While the Adreno 308 graphics processor reaches a speed of 500MHz.
For multitasking, the X Power 3 has 2GB of RAM, this reaches a memory speed of 667MHz. While in the storage department, LG topped it up a notch with 32GB storage space. You can also upgrade up to 2TB if you want. The X Power 3 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
Camera
The device is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, the camera artfully blurs the background creating sharp portrait. While the 5MP selfie camera takes clear selfies.
Battery
Powering the LG X Power 3 is a 4500mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
