Meizu 16, now released in India as Meizu 16th in India on December 5, 2018, is an affordable mid-range smartphone that arrives in two variants as the storage capacity shows. The selfie camera too is powerful enough to receive attention. With a Super AMOLED screen that is as large as 6 inches, Meizu can’t go wrong.

Meizu 16 Design and Display
Primary design in the smartphone is metal body and glass at the front. The dimensions are 150.5 x 73.2 x 7.3 mm and it weighs 152 grams. It comes with black and white colors. The device is not a water resistant smartphone but has face recognition and fingerprint sensor in-built.
Display type is Super AMOLED capacitive multi-touch screen of 16 million colors. The screen size is 6 inches. Further, pixel density is 402 ppi, pixel resolution is 2160 x 1080, and aspect ratio is 18:9. Other display features are 2.5D curved glass, 84.3 screen to body ratio, and 430nits brightness.
Camera Features
There are two cameras to the rear and they consist of 12 MP plus 20 MP, both arriving with f/1.8 and f/2.6 aperture. The cameras are equipped with six LED dual tone flash. To the front, there is another single secondary selfie lens of 20 MP f/2.0 aperture which comes with 5P lens ARcsoft Beauty Algorithm. The video performance the device is 2160p@30fps.
Furthermore, the camera features available in the Meizu 16 are geotagging, slow motion videos, touch focus, face detection, auto HDR, panorama, auto focus, and more.
Hardware and Software
Android OS v8.0 Oreo runs the Meizu 16. It operates on Flyme UI user interface. In addition to that, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 reigns supreme in the device. Accordingly, the CPU is Octa-core 2.8 GHz Kryo 385, while the GPU is Adreno 630.
Storage Capacity and Sensors
Internal memory inside the Meizu 16 is in two variants of 6GB/8GB and both cannot be expanded. This is followed by a combination of 64GB/128GB internal storage that cannot be increased because there is simply no provision for that.
Sensors in the device are accelerometer, proximity, compass, ambient light, fingerprint, pressure, fingerprint, and face recognition.
Network and Connectivity
Meizu 16 is able to handle 2G, 3G, and 4G and that means that it is GSM, CDMA, HSPA, and LTE enabled. There are two nano SIM card slots provided to make things work on the device.
Other connectivity options include Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, SBAS, QZSS, headphone jack, and micro USB 2.0.
Battery Life in Meizu 16
Powering the device is a Li-Ion 3010 mAh non-removable battery which has fast charging technology. However, the smartphone doesn’t have wireless charging technology.

Price of this device is said to start from $394 USD upward considering the variants. The smartphone is now available in stores in India, having been released formerly elsewhere in August and now in India.
