Moto Z3 Play appears in Deep Indigo, here is everything we know so far

Last month, the Moto Z3 Play unveiled a fingerprint scanner mounted on the side and a dual camera configuration on the back. Recently we also saw a real image of a Moto Z3 Play prototype. The image showed the ratio of 18 – 9 and frames similar to what we can find in the third generation of Moto Series Z phones. Today, thanks to the trusty leaker Evan Blass, we have a new render of Z3 Play in the Deep Indigo color.

The image shows the fingerprint scanner mounted on the side and once again the dual camera configuration is shown. Below the camera, where many phones have a fingerprint scanner, there is a static image of the Motorola Batwings logo.

Moto Z3 Play leak 1

As expected the play Moto Z3 is equipped with a screen 6.1 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 2160. It is believed that the dual cameras have back 12MP and 8MP and can see UML Snapdragon 636 to feed the Moto Z3 Play. 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage are supposedly on board, and a 3000mAh battery is said to be found on the device. The 3.5mm headset connector should not mark presence and we can expect it to come with Android Oreo pre-installed.

Looking at the renders of the Moto Z3 Play, we see that it may be quite different from its predecessors in terms of overall design. First, it is expected that the phone has a screen size of 6 inches and join the borderless smartphone flock. The fingerprint scanner is on the side along with the volume buttons. The phone has the Motorola brand on the chin, while the headset, sensors and front camera would be positioned above the screen. Interestingly, instead of moving the fingerprint scanner back, it looks like Motorola will place it on the right edge of the phone, while the power button will be on the left side.

Moto Z3 Play

The Z3 Play is expected to measure 156.4 x 76.47 mm, making its dimensions very similar to its previous iterations. This means that your smartphone must be compatible with the Moto Mods currently available in the market. However, the device looks thicker than the Z2 Play (6.65 mm vs. 5.9 mm), and if the camera impact is included, the thickness becomes 8.92 mm. Along with the 16-pin connector on the back, the next device could also present another track below, which suggests that the functionality of the modular accessories can be expanded or we can even see some new mods.

The rear panel of the smartphone also features a circular module, holding two cameras and a two-tone LED flash. Unfortunately, it seems that Lenovo can dispense with the 3.5mm audio jack on the Moto Z3 Play.

As far as Z3 Play specifications are concerned, rumors suggest that the device will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636, and with two variants, one with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, and one with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. In terms of camera, there are rumors that the device will display 12MP + 8MP on the back, and a front sensor of 5 megapixels, its battery should be 3000mAh, which does not look like much, but still should last a long time thanks energy efficiency of the SD636.

The Moto Z3 Play certainly seems to come with some interesting changes in brand design. It is expected that the smartphone will be released soon, so it will not be long before we know exactly what it has to offer.
