Motorola One Power will receive Android Pie beta by October

As already leaked in previous rumors, Motorola One Power should receive Android Pie in the form of a beta build next month. According to what emerged online, Motorola is about to launch its Android Pie test program for its new smartphone, so as to guarantee the whole experience of the latest version of the green robot.

Announced at IFA 2018, the show that took place in Berlin last month, Motorola One Power uses Android 8.1 Oreo as an operating system. The handset is part of Google’s Android One program, designed primarily to offer timely software updates.

To confirm the start of the Android Pie test for Motorola One Power – “by mid-October”, editor’s note – was the product manager Abhishek Kumar, who confirmed it all on the Beeboom website. The concrete program related to the stable update of Android Pie has yet to be revealed. However, it seems that the update should reach users by the end of the year. Furthermore, it appears that the smartphone will receive frequent security patches in the next three years.

Motorola has a solid experience in providing important updates on its smartphones. Recently, the company started launching Android 8.1 Oreo for Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus in India and introduced Android Oreo in Moto X4 and Moto Z2 Play earlier this month.

The Motorola One Power dual-SIM is equipped with a 6.2-inch Max-Vision Full-HD + LCD display with a 19 – 9 aspect ratio. The smartphone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor, paired with an Adreno GPU 509, 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory expandable via microSD card (up to 256 GB). On the back, there is a dual rear camera that includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor, with support for 4K video recording. On the front side, there is a 12-megapixel sensor.

The Motorola One Power also has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS / A-GPS, USB Type-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack. In addition, there is a fingerprint sensor mounted on the back. Finally, the smartphone is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery with a 15W TurboPower quick charger.
