Nigeria Partners Poland on Green Technology

Nigeria has agreed to work together on green tech. Clean technology is one way to improve the standards of living of a country and this move is coming at a time when the country can’t disagree to embark on it. The Minister of State, Science, and Technology, Mohammed Abdullahi has confirmed this new partnership.

He has met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Nigeria, Mrs. Joanna Tarnawska, who also commends the latest move by Nigeria to adopt clean technology, saying that it will help to create a strong, sustainable and competitive economy for Nigeria.

Abdullahi said that the country is desirous of making her economy knowledge-based and innovation-driven. He confirmed the fact that Nigeria would gain much from Poland’s experience in science and technology areas.

He also claimed that the partnership will benefit both countries because they share some things in common. Therefore, Nigeria wants to leverage Poland’s experience in clean energy technology. There may also be new areas to explore in Science and Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs.

If these are to be successful, it means that Nigeria will greatly benefit because some of these areas need more encouragement and attention from the Nigerian government.

Previously, the Poland ambassador pledged the support of her country in the development of STEM and relative innovation in Nigeria. She also confirmed the long-standing friendship that Nigeria and Poland have enjoyed for many years. As a result, she believes that the new partnership, which will cover areas of development of green technology, entrepreneurship, and skills acquisition will be very successful.
