Design
A combination of Plastic and Metal, the design is in proportion with other Nomi smartphones, just like they love to make them. Two antenna lines exudes at the rear, one at the top and one at the bottom, which houses the rear loudspeaker as well.
Moving further, the rear camera and LED flash is horizontal at the top left corner. The fingerprint scanner is in its usual position for easy access. It’s quite bulky, measuring 9.5mm in thickness when you turn over to the sides. Weighing 181g overall and available in only Black color at the moment.
Display
Nomi isn’t ready to join the bezel-less trend anytime soon, even when most budget smartphones comes with the trendy feature. The Nomi i5532 Space X2 comes with lots of bezels, sporting three navigation buttons at the bottom bezel.
The top bezel on the other hand houses the selfie camera, speaker grille and sensors as usual. The 5.5-inch HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen boasts of a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and 267 pixel per inch density for clear visuals. The screen dishes out a 16:9 aspect ratio and stretches up to 70.19% screen to body ratio.
Hardware and Software
Running the race here is the MediaTek MT6580 chip with Quad-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 4-cores of processor runs at 1.3GHz and boasts of a 28nm process technology. In the graphics department, the ARM Mali-400 MP2 graphics processor is in charge.
For multitasking, 2GB RAM space is available and reaches a memory speed of 533 MHz. In terms of storage, 16GB is available and you can upgrade further up to 32GB using a memory card. The i5532 Space X2 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with modified user interface.
Camera
At the rear, there’s an 8MP camera with f/2.2 aperture capturing 3K resolution images. The camera comes with lots of features and a LED flash as well, capturing photographs with 3266 x 2449 pixels in dimension. The 2MP selfie shooter has f/2.4 aperture and takes cute selfies as well.
Battery
Powering the Nomi i5532 Space X2 is a 4000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, it might take between 3-4 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.
